Wooden Box for Tiny Things with Vintage Style

This small wooden box is of durable poplar construction with a height of 3″ and width and depth of about 2.5″. The entire item is hand-made. I used a torch to patina the wood for a vintage look and sanded the edges using a Dremel tool. The tactile experience of holding it is lovely. This box is perfect for rings, clips, coins, and other tiny things. The wood has been soaked in 100% natural tung oil, making it very resistant to mold and moisture. Look at the volume – so many tiny things could go in this. The door closes very tightly. If you prefer it to open more easily, let me know and I’ll sand it a bit more.
